Dr Adam Rose
Dr Adam Rose is a Senior Research Fellow and Head of the Nutrient Metabolism and Signalling Laboratory within the Dept. of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology as part of the Biomedicine Discovery Institute Metabolic Disease and Obesity Program at Monash University. His lab adopts an integrated systems approach to further the basic understanding of adaptive/maladaptive metabolism and the molecular mechanisms involved therein, with the eventual aim to discover new therapies for diseases with a metabolic basis such as obesity, diabetes, and cancer. His particular interest lies in the complex interaction between nutrients, hormones, and signalling pathways which connect these to ultimately coordinate systemic metabolic control.
